Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Step Down, Denton. This travel position provides care for patients requiring acute surgical intervention, post-operative care, neurological monitoring, cardiac observation, and other progressive care services. The role requires strong assessment, telemetry monitoring, teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills in a Level II trauma setting.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; NIH certification; one year of experience; strong customer service, communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma or orthopedic experience.
• Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include caring for patients with trauma, surgical, neurological, vascular, cardiac, respiratory, and progressive care needs. Clinical duties may include telemetry monitoring, patient assessments every four hours, post-operative care, management of intravenous medications, and care for patients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, sepsis, pulmonary embolism, cardiac dysrhythmias, congestive heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes.
