Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room, Massachusetts Provides emergency nursing care while functioning independently under general guidance and established clinical protocols. The role requires sound judgment, critical thinking, effective communication, and emotional stability in emergency settings.

Job Details

Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holidays may be required as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Two years of current Emergency Room experience
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Emergency Department skills checklist current within the past year
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Emergency Department triage or cardiac room experience
- Intravenous therapy certification
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
Additional Information:
- Provides patient care using time management, communication, planning, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates critical thinking and maintains emotional stability during emergencies.
- Follows unit-specific guidelines, policies, and clinical protocols.
- Personal scrubs of any color are permitted.
