Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse in the ER department is responsible for providing exceptional emergency nursing care in a busy hospital setting. The role involves managing a diverse patient population, responding to urgent medical needs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Location: Not specified, in a healthcare facility setting.
- Position Role: RN (Registered Nurse) in the Emergency Room (ER) specialty.
- Number of Positions: 1
- Shift Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, every weekend (Saturday and Sunday), with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support); 2 or more years of emergency nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Critical thinking skills; ability to adapt to fluctuating patient volume; experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Additional Information: The unit has 65 beds with patient ratios such as Shock 2:1, Core 4:1, Psych 3:1, Exam 6:1. Equipment includes Alaris Pumps, Phillips Monitor, Belmont Rapid Infuser. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is Epic. Candidate may be required to complete education modules prior to start date.
