Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) nurse position is available in a forensics inpatient unit. Located in the facility, this role involves caring for the incarcerated population, with responsibilities including monitoring telemetry strips, managing medical needs, and ensuring patient safety during night shifts.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, and CPI (or MAB); current licensure as a health care professional; ability to care for incarcerated patients; reading telemetry strips; minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the past three years; availability to work weekends and holidays; compliance clearance required 10 days prior to orientation.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience within a forensic or correctional facility setting.
• Additional Information: No holiday RTO is approved. HCPs will be granted one holiday off, selected at random. The assignment includes floating within scope of practice. Orientation is scheduled for Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and Medical/Surgical Telemetry units. Candidates must be reliable, transparent, and punctual; eligibility for charge or preceptor duties may be required and will be reflected on the timesheet. Failure to pass hydration or arrhythmia tests during testing may result in cancellation.
