Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician, Templeton: Provides clinical support during labor, delivery, recovery, and obstetric surgical procedures. Responsibilities include surgical scrubbing, sterile supply preparation, patient care assistance, and maintaining procedural areas and supplies.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification; surgical scrub experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: High school education or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent; associate or technical degree, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience; Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Assists with patient preparation, positioning, transport, transfer, discharge, personal care, activities of daily living, maternal vital signs, weight, height, intake and output measurements, and urinalysis specimen collection. Opens sterile supplies, establishes procedure setups using aseptic technique, verifies sterile package integrity, and provides surgical supplies and instruments during operative procedures. Participates in procedural timeouts and supports obstetric deliveries and related surgeries. Required vaccinations must be received as a condition of employment, subject to applicable medical and religious exemptions.
