Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in a hospital setting. The position involves providing specialized care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. The role requires competent handling of obstetric procedures, patient monitoring, and collaborative team efforts to ensure maternal and neonatal health.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification, 1 year of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery, and physical ability to perform job responsibilities.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional skills in Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), NICU, or related obstetric procedures.
- Additional Information: The unit handles C-sections, cerclage placement and removal, and IUPC procedures. Team includes secretaries, ANMs, relief charge nurses, and OR technologists. The environment features modern equipment including Electronic Fetal Monitoring systems, Ultrasound, pulse oximetry, and BP cables. The unit emphasizes a royal blue scrubs dress code and maintains policies aligned with clinical standards. The department values staff tenure, experience, and a collaborative atmosphere.
