Description
Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular Registered Nurse position caring for cardiac medical and cardiothoracic and vascular surgery intensive care patients. The role requires expertise with complex cardiac support devices and provides care in a high-acuity cardiac intensive care setting with two-to-one patient ratios.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; current registered nurse licensure; competency caring for cardiac medical and cardiothoracic and vascular surgery intensive care patients; required experience with Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), and left ventricular assist device (LVAD) support.
- Preferred Qualifications: NxStage experience preferred.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Assignment Period: 11/09/2026 through 02/07/2027.
- Additional Information: The cardiac intensive care unit cares for cardiac medical intensive care patients and cardiothoracic and vascular surgery intensive care patients. Typical patient ratios are two patients per nurse, including patients requiring Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), left ventricular assist device (LVAD), and NxStage support.
