Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position located in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized patient care for critically ill patients in an ICU setting, supporting various patient diagnoses and working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Candidates must be adaptable to rotating shifts and adhere to all clinical protocols.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including every-other-weekend and rotating holidays.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse; certifications including ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS; minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac patients, vent management, and CRRT; working knowledge of electronic medical record systems, preferably EPIC.
• Additional Information: The ICU supports stepdown needs and has an average daily census of around 16-17 patients. The unit has designated COVID-19 beds and specific patient care protocols. Nurses are responsible for managing drips, ventilators, and alarms, with in-house intensivist and hospitalist coverage during day and night shifts respectively. Orientation includes general hospital and unit-specific training, with some shifts or schedules potentially blocked. Floating outside the ICU is typically not required for travelers unless specified by the contract.
