Description
Job Summary:
The operating room with open heart specialty in a cardiac surgical environment is seeking a qualified health care professional. The role involves intraoperative scrub and circulate duties for cardiothoracic, peripheral vascular, and transplant (heart and lung) procedures. The position will include participation in a team rotation for on-call duties, including one weekend day every four-week cycle.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in perioperative nursing, relevant educational background in nursing or surgical technology, and minimum of 0 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiothoracic surgical procedures and scrub and circulate skills checklist completion.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Must have prior experience scrubbing and circulating cardiovascular (CVOR) cases, with strong skills in both roles. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced surgical environment. Responsibilities include preparing the surgical environment, managing operative instruments, and supporting surgical team activities during cardiac surgeries.
