The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is located in a healthcare facility servicing a diverse patient population. The role involves providing specialized critical care for patients on a rotating schedule, with responsibilities including managing advanced life support protocols, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and adhering to facility policies and standards. The position is suitable for experienced ICU nurses seeking a dynamic assignment in a regional healthcare setting.

Job Details:

  • Location: Regional healthcare facility within a 50-mile radius of the designated area
  • Schedule: Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: WI or compact registered nurse license, American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, Associate Degree or Certificate in nursing, at least 2+ years of ICU experience, prior travel experience required, Epic charting experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • Shift Requirements: 12-hour day/night variable shifts
  • Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend, holiday rotation
  • Float: Potential for float to medical/surgical units and other regional locations such as Wisconsin Rapids, Plover, and Divine Savior
  • Additional Information: The role involves managing care on a 32-bed unit across three levels of care including ICU, step-down, and medical-surgical services. Candidates should be resilient, adaptable to change, and capable of working hard. Scrubs in any professional color are acceptable. The position allows for low census hours that can be put on call, with minimum two-hour callback required. During flu season, unvaccinated travelers are mandated to wear masks at all times, with adherence necessary for employment compliance.
