Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures, including open heart surgeries and minimally invasive valve replacements. The role requires experienced cardiovascular surgical nursing skills within a hospital setting that features advanced equipment and a dynamic team environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, from 07:00AM to 07:00PM, starting 10/19/2026 and ending 01/18/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), with 3 or more years of cardiovascular surgery experience. Candidate must be adaptable to hospital policies and possess strong clinical skills specific to cardiovascular procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, thoracic and vascular surgeries.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with orthopedic/neuro procedures and DaVinci robotic systems is preferred. Familiarity with MediTech documentation system and experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center environment are advantageous.
• Additional Information: The role involves working within a 12-bed unit performing high-level cardiovascular surgeries in a top-performing hospital that is accredited in stroke, chest pain, and cancer care. The team values collaboration, advanced technology, and continuous staff development. Candidate will be expected to perform hourly updates to patient families and adhere to unit-specific policies and guidelines.
