Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Lewiston, ME. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care at a Level 2 trauma center with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. The role requires managing a variety of acute conditions, interpreting dysrhythmias, and providing ventilated patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience, ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and experience with ventilated patients.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in non-trauma emergency departments, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, ventilated patients, and working within a Level 2 trauma center.
• Additional Information: The unit features four critical care bays and utilizes advanced telehealth technology for stroke care in cooperation with a major teaching hospital. The clinical setting includes equipment such as ultrasound, bladder scanner, neuro telecomputer, and Care Aware handheld devices, with an electronic health record system including EPIC and SBAR. Candidate must be flexible to float to ED holding as required.
