Job Summary
The organization is seeking an Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center. This role involves providing critical care to a wide range of patients, from newborns to the elderly, in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Job Details

Position: ER RN Emergency Room
Location: Not specified (general healthcare facility setting)
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois RN license or confirmation that application process has been initiated, active BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), and at least 2 years of nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of TNCC or TNS (Trauma Nursing Society) certification, previous ER experience, familiarity with vasopressor and cardiac drips, and working at a teaching hospital.
Responsibilities: Providing care for diverse emergency cases including strokes, heart attacks, traumas, and critically ill patients; titrating and managing critical drips; interpreting vital signs and rhythms; and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC or TNS
Submission Requirements: Last four digits of clinicians SSN, clinician's middle initial, requested time off, active IL license confirmation, and understanding that OSF is a drug-free campus requiring a negative drug screen.
Additional Information: Float rotation may be required, and the department operates with a staffing model including charge nurses and nurse aides/EMTs/paramedics.
