Telemetry Nurse, Kansas City, MO This position involves providing specialized cardiac telemetry care within a 29-bed unit at a healthcare facility. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care, interpreting EKGs and telemetry strips, and managing post-cardiac procedural care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Status: 48-hour guaranteed weekly schedule, nights shift, including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period.
• Required Qualifications: Must have 2 years of experience in telemetry, PCU, or ICU settings; valid ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications; must be able to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips; experience with post-cardiac procedural care (e.g., ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op day 1 open heart, permanent pacemaker placements); proficiency in administering and titrating IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone; must have full-time availability including nights and weekends.
• Additional Information: The unit utilizes equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, and telemetry monitors. Staff are expected to treat patients with courtesy and respect, facilitate bedside shift reports, and maintain patient experience standards aligned with hospital policies.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
