Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Interventional Radiology Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse provides direct patient care during invasive and non-invasive procedures in interventional radiology, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and diagnostic settings. Responsibilities include patient monitoring, medication administration under physician direction, intravenous line maintenance, emergency preparedness, documentation, and coordination with patient care teams.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience; current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications; ability to read, write, and speak English; demonstrated intravenous therapy skills; ability to provide safe, accountable patient care and respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical care nursing background, comfort working under pressure, and specialty certification preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Call participation is required on a rotating basis.
  • Patient care includes invasive and non-invasive procedures in interventional radiology, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and diagnostic areas.
  • Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, maintaining intravenous lines, administering medications under physician direction, assisting with procedures, providing patient comfort, maintaining emergency equipment and supplies, and documenting patient care.
  • Flu vaccination or an approved exemption is required for travelers from November 1 through April 1.
  • Surgical scrubs are provided in the procedure area; street clothes are not permitted.
