Job Summary
Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse (RN) Los Angeles, CA. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a multidisciplinary Interventional Radiology team, supporting procedures such as Y-90 therapy, contrast imaging, and sedation. The role requires collaboration with technologists and attending physicians, with a focus on radiation safety and patient triage.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: BSN, ACLS, BLS (AHA) certifications; California RN license; 2 years of relevant experience; experience in Interventional Radiology, managing implanted ports, PICC lines, and pharmacological stress tests; ability to work with inpatients and outpatients.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 07:30 am 04:00 pm.
• Additional Information: Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, IV access skills, and understanding of radiation safety principles (ALARA). The nurse will be working with patients undergoing treatments and diagnostics such as PET, NM, and RLT. The role includes assisting with sedation and recovery procedures for diagnostic imaging under anesthesia, with strong IV and port-access skills required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, patient ratio experience of 3:1, community hospital experience, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Certification Requirements: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Skills: Implanted Ports care and maintenance, Interventional Radiology procedures, IV infusion pumps, 12-lead ECG, PICC line care, procedural sedation, Sheath removal and monitoring, use of Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale.
• Work Environment: Involves working within a team covering NM, PET, and RLT; working with adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in a hospital setting.
