Job Summary
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse is needed in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves providing critical care to patients with severe and complex health conditions, supporting life-saving procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

• Location: Not specified
• Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts are from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM or from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with every other weekend required.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CRRT is preferred; cardiac skill is desirable but not mandatory.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Management of ARDS, Sepsis, Chronic ventilator use, ETOH withdrawal, DKA, CRRT, therapeutic hypothermia, and IABP. Line placements and intubations are common procedures.
• Skills and Certifications: Registered nurses must be able to titrate drips of vasoactive medications, sedation, Heparin, and Insulin, and be able to interpret EKG strips, using Phillips monitors during shifts.
• Additional Information: The unit has a 1:1-2 patient ratio, with charge nurses who generally do not take patients. The ICU is equipped with vents (Drager, Hamilton), CPAP, and BiPAP. Staff may serve as safety attendants. The facility has in-house pharmacy available 24/7 and uses Cerner for charting.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must provide a copy of their drivers license for identity verification, along with two work references from modality submitting to (charge accepted) at submittal; one within 12 months and one within three years.
