Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical With Telemetry, Martinsville, VA. The Registered Nurse provides care for patients of all ages in a medical-surgical telemetry setting, including those recovering from postoperative orthopedic procedures and total joint surgeries. The role requires critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse licensure in Virginia; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Handle with Care certification; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Provides care for patients of all ages with an approximate patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4. Responsibilities include caring for patients undergoing postoperative orthopedic procedures and total joint surgeries, responding appropriately in stressful situations, and exercising decisive clinical judgment. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend or as needed. No specific scrub color is required; casual wear is not permitted.
