Job Summary
Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care Nurse in Indianapolis, IN. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the Neuro Critical Care unit, focusing on patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, post-op craniotomy, seizures, and neurologic tumors. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver critical patient support during night shift hours.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care
• Location: Indianapolis, IN
• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS certifications, two years of ICU experience, comprehensive neurological assessment skills, care of hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients, neurological assessment expertise, Indiana licensure or eligibility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pupillometer, external ventricular drain (EVD), intracranial pressure waveform management, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), Epic EMR skills.
• Additional Information: Experience with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients, post-op craniotomy care, seizure monitoring, encephalopathy, neurologic tumor care. Candidates should be team players with a positive attitude, flexibility, and empathy, adhering to scrub dress code (navy). Orientation will include modules, Epic training if needed, and one day in the unit.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
