Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Pre-Operative, Tracy, CA. This position provides routine and individualized nursing care for patients undergoing ambulatory surgical procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care coordination, patient and family education, transitions of care, and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required before starting.
  • Ambulatory surgery and Phase II experience within the past 2 years.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health records.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs structured nursing assignments while developing clinical competence.
  • Provides direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care.
  • Develops and coordinates interdisciplinary plans of care addressing psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
  • Maintains effective communication and collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Delivers holistic and individualized care to patients in the assigned area.
