Description
Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical With Telemetry, location not specified. This position provides care for postoperative patients across general, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, urologic, oral, plastic, and trauma specialties. The assignment requires telemetry strip interpretation and management of patients in medical-surgical and surgical stepdown settings.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week. Night positions do not require rotating shifts. Assignment dates are 11/29/2026 through 02/27/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; a minimum of 2 years working in one location and 2 years of travel experience; ability to interpret telemetry strips.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing arterial lines and neo-synephrine.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, epidurals, and capnography.
- Patient assignments generally range from 35 patients per Registered Nurse, with surgical stepdown assignments of 23 patients per Registered Nurse.
- The care environment includes a 15-bed medical-surgical unit and an 8-bed surgical stepdown unit.
- On-site parking is available.
