Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in a healthcare facility located at Summit Medical Center. This position involves providing specialized patient care on a unit that manages post-cardiac, stroke, and complex medical cases. The role requires collaborative teamwork and adherence to unit protocols to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience in a similar setting; experience with bipaps, high flow oxygen, multiple oxygen delivery systems, stroke, and post-cardiac cath care.
• Additional Information: Experience with peritoneal dialysis, tube feedings, NG/dobhoff tubes, and procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, and central line dressing changes is preferred. The unit operates with a self-scheduling model and requires working every other weekend. The team emphasizes a family-like culture with a focus on teamwork and communication.
