Job Summary

Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized, age-specific care for patients and families through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role promotes quality outcomes, coordinates care with the healthcare team, manages complex clinical situations, and advocates for patient and family participation in care decisions.

Job Details

• Responsibilities: Deliver safe and therapeutic care; develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care; provide patient and family education; document assessments and responses to care; coordinate patient care conferences and referrals; delegate appropriate activities; collaborate with interdisciplinary team members; establish therapeutic relationships; and advocate for patient and family rights.
• Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license; CPR, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH certifications; at least three years of recent experience working in a Registered Nurse (RN) role, including at least two years of recent experience in a specialty area.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Float rotation may include Intensive Care Unit (ICU) units, one level of care lower, or another facility. Successful completion of an electrocardiogram (EKG) examination is required during orientation. Winter staffing needs apply.
