Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room, Alaska The healthcare provider is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment beginning 11/16/2026. The role supports a broad range of surgical services, including trauma, orthopedic, neurological, gynecological, vascular, urological, ear, nose, and throat procedures in an acute care setting.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, typically 10 hours per shift and 40 hours per week; three 12-hour day shifts may also be scheduled, with start times varying between 6:45 a.m.7:15 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.9:30 p.m. Weekend coverage is required.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse license in Alaska in hand; two years of Operating Room experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Epic charting experience; ability to provide care for neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification; Level I trauma experience.
- Additional Information:
- Call coverage is limited to coverage for call-offs.
- The role involves surgical services including bariatric, orthopedic, neurological, gynecological, ear, nose, and throat, breast, urological, vascular, and complex general procedures.
- Responsibilities may include scrubbing and assisting with laparoscopic, orthopedic, trauma, vascular, ophthalmology, oral, pediatric, thoracic, neurosurgical, and general surgical procedures.
- The healthcare provider uses robotic and specialized surgical equipment.
- The clinician must be willing to work two of the following three holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.
- Required compliance materials include certification copies, specific Epic charting experience, and two professional references covering one year within the last three years.
