Job Summary

Registered Nurse Medical Surgical With Telemetry. This travel nursing position provides care on a medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities, serving adult patients with vascular disease and other medical-surgical needs. The assignment includes 12-hour day shifts and a 36-hour workweek.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Two years of nursing experience; travel experience required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; required experience with Epic charting; ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio; skills in telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, vascular and medical-surgical care, central and peripheral line management, peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line management, blood product administration, wound care, feeding tube care, ostomy care, insulin and heparin administration, oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway management, intravenous therapy, and pre- and post-hemodialysis care.
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, with weekend coverage required for half of the contract.
Additional Information: The medical-surgical telemetry unit focuses on patients with vascular disease diagnoses and may also receive medical-surgical and telemetry overflow. The patient population ranges from young adulthood through geriatrics, with a daily census of up to 16 patients. Support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support.
Assignment Dates: 11/17/2026 through 02/16/2027.
