Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 24 months of current medical-surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting.
  • Strong renal and urology experience.
  • Proficient transplant-care experience.
  • At least one completed travel contract within the previous 15 months.
  • Level II trauma experience.
  • Current active Iowa license or compact/multistate license at the time of submission.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Past or current Level I trauma experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Patient population includes general medical-surgical, renal, transplant, and urology patients.
  • The unit supports approximately 22 beds with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:56.
  • Floating across campuses may be required.
  • Navy blue scrubs are required.
  • Availability to work one to two of three upcoming winter holidays, including Thanksgiving, may be required unless the unit is closed.
  • Weekend coverage is scheduled every other weekend or every third weekend, depending on staffing and census.
