Description

Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor position. This role provides care for adult and geriatric patients in a medical/surgical setting, with a patient ratio of approximately 1:6. The unit accepts first-time travelers and offers day shifts with 12-hour scheduling options.

Job Details

Schedule: Day shifts; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week.
Assignment Dates: 11/16/202602/15/2027.
Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; State or Compact license in hand at submission; at least 1 year of inpatient medical/surgical experience; recent Epic charting experience within the past 6 months; experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and personal protective equipment, medical/surgical and telemetry care, nasal cannula use, and peripheral line care and management.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The patient population includes adults and geriatric patients. Telemetry is monitored in a centralized unit. Support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. Orientation includes 20 hours, and required onboarding items and laboratory requirements must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
