Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Operating Room Pediatrics Oakland. The position supports pediatric surgical care across general, cardiac, trauma, and specialty operating room services. The role involves variable night shifts, rotating weekend coverage, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the ability to support other units as needed.

Job Details

Schedule: Variable 10-hour night shifts, 40 hours per week, with rotating weekend nights.
Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse license; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; at least 3 years of operating room experience; pediatric general operating room experience or strong pediatric Level I trauma operating room experience; Level I trauma experience; teaching hospital experience; and experience with the Epic charting system.
Preferred Qualifications: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification; previous charge experience; ambulatory operating room experience; cardiovascular operating room experience; general operating room experience; pediatric cardiovascular operating room experience; and Level II trauma experience.
Additional Information: The pediatric operating room includes multiple surgical and procedural suites and provides multidisciplinary services involving neurology, orthopedics and spine, otolaryngology, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, dental, cardiac, general surgery, gastrointestinal, and hematology/oncology care. The role serves neonates, infants, pediatric patients, and adolescents.
