Job Summary

Operating Room position supporting a high-volume acute care surgical environment with diverse adult surgical service lines. The role requires independent circulating, participation in scheduled call, and collaboration across inpatient and outpatient procedural areas. The position follows a rotating schedule with weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum two years of relevant experience; ability to circulate independently; willingness and ability to participate in required call coverage; current professional license or eligibility for licensure.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ambulatory or outpatient surgical experience; experience with orthopedic, neurological, trauma, bariatric, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, surgical oncology, urology, or gynecological procedures; experience with robotic surgery.
• Schedule: Rotating schedule consisting of two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Day 12-hour shifts are generally 6:30 a.m.7:00 p.m.; evening 12-hour shifts are generally 9:00 a.m.9:30 p.m. or 10:30 a.m.11:00 p.m. Eight-hour shifts may begin at 6:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., or 2:30 p.m. Weekly call coverage, weekend shifts, and holidays may be scheduled as needed.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include circulating independently in a high-volume surgical environment averaging approximately 80120 cases per day. Surgical services include orthopedics, neurology, trauma, bariatrics, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, surgical oncology, urology, and gynecology. Scrubbing is not required. Standby call coverage of approximately 2030 hours per four-week period is expected, with a 30-minute response time. Floating may occur between designated perioperative areas based on experience. Orientation is provided, including training for the electronic charting system. Scrubs are provided.
