Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Gynecology Floor Mooresville, Indiana. This position supports antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients in a Level II obstetric and neonatal care setting. The role requires strong labor and delivery management skills, critical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with a supportive healthcare team.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., three shifts per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience; demonstrated ability to manage labor and delivery, perform cervical examinations, triage patients, and circulate cesarean and dilation and curettage procedures. Familiarity with Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) staffing recommendations is expected.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in labor and delivery, postpartum care, and newborn nursery care. Scrub or surgical-assist experience and neonatal intensive care unit skills are preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
  • Patient assignments may include active labor and postpartum couplet care.
  • One weeknight call shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. every two weeks may be required.
  • Two weekend call shifts every six weeks may be required.
  • Call response is expected within one hour.
  • Weekend shifts may be scheduled on Fridays or Saturdays approximately every six weeks.
  • Availability for three designated holiday shifts may be required.
  • May provide support in medical-surgical, orthopedic, intensive care, or emergency care areas based on census.
  • Surgical scrub attire guidelines must be followed.
