Description
Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse located in the region. This position involves providing high-acuity patient care within a specialized unit, handling medically delicate and surgically complex cases. The role requires expertise in advanced hemodynamics, ventilator management, and complex medical conditions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: No minimum years of experience required; experience in adult intensive care units and community hospital ICU settings preferred. Must be competent in care of medical and surgical populations, ACLS, and advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per titration protocols.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional responsibilities include: managing patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. Procedures include ant hypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, arterial line, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, infection prevention protocols, HFNC, BiPap/CPAP, oxygen therapy.
- Application submission: Candidates must have Epic experience and provide an up-to-date email for competency testing within 24 hours of submission. Local candidates are no longer accepted as of 1/11/2024.
