Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor. The registered nurse provides comprehensive care for patients requiring acute telemetry monitoring and surgical support. Responsibilities include patient assessment, cardiac monitoring, medication and intravenous therapy administration, care coordination, patient education, and accurate clinical documentation.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Current MA RN License; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire; graduate of an accredited school of nursing; minimum of 2 years of acute telemetry experience; MOAB class required within 60 days of hire.
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of medical-surgical experience.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Provides patient and family education, discharge planning, pain assessment and management, medication reconciliation, and ongoing evaluation of patient responses.
• Interprets and documents cardiac rate, rhythm, and configuration; recognizes cardiac-related symptoms and abnormal diagnostic results; and initiates appropriate interventions according to orders, protocols, and established policies.
• Participates in multidisciplinary rounds, delegates and supervises nursing interventions, promotes continuity of care, and supports patient safety and quality improvement.
• Safely administers medications and intravenous therapy and maintains, troubleshoots, and operates equipment including traction and orthopedic devices, feeding pumps, chest tubes, and drains.
• Provides timely, thorough, and accurate documentation and communication to support coordinated patient care.
