Job Summary

Registered Nurse Gastroenterology Laboratory. The position provides care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal laboratory procedures, including admission, Phase II recovery, intravenous starts, and procedural support as qualified. The role requires documented recovery experience and includes a daytime schedule with varying start times.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, with varying start times between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.; 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; active or temporary Illinois licensure; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; successful electrocardiogram (EKG) assessment with a score of at least 80%.
• Preferred Qualifications: Travel or per diem experience.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include admitting patients, recovering patients in Phase II, starting intravenous lines, and assisting in the procedure room when qualified. Orientation includes daytime instruction on the first Monday, required learning modules, and an electronic medical record system assessment.
