Job Summary

Registered Nurse Long Term Acute Care. The position supports a respiratory step-down unit caring for respiratory-focused and ventilator-dependent patients in a medical environment. The role provides 12-hour day-shift coverage and requires every-other-weekend availability.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM7:00 PM; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week. Assignment dates are 11/23/2026 through 02/20/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with 12 years of experience and prior travel experience; willingness to obtain a flu vaccination or provide a medical declination that is not personal or religious.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for respiratory or ventilator-dependent patients.
• Additional Information: Patient care responsibilities include intravenous starts, medication drips and titration, blood administration, electrocardiograms, glucose monitoring, wound vacuum changes, complex and simple wound dressings, tracheostomy care, suctioning, catheterization, urinary catheter care, port access, central-line dressing changes, and wound measurements. Nurses do not manage ventilators; respiratory therapists handle ventilator management. The position may float to comparable respiratory, medically complex rehabilitation, cardiac monitoring, traumatic brain injury, chronic care, medical, rehabilitation, and respiratory units. Pediatrics assignments are limited to nurses with pediatric-specific experience.
