Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room, Simi Valley: Provides coordinated nursing care for individual patients or assigned patient groups in accordance with established standards and the nursing process. The role supervises assigned nursing staff, coordinates interdisciplinary care, and applies critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in an acute care setting.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM), TEAM-A, or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification; National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing; acute care facility experience.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing patient data, developing and implementing individualized care plans, evaluating patient outcomes, promoting a safe and healing environment, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing health education, participating in discharge planning, and appropriately delegating and coordinating care team responsibilities.
