Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Nurse, Labor and Delivery Department Poughkeepsie, NY. This position supports a high-risk labor and delivery unit and provides specialized care for patients during labor, delivery, and recovery. The role requires current labor and delivery experience, high-risk obstetric experience, and the ability to work alternating 12-hour night shifts based on unit needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week and a minimum of 36 hours per week; some weekend shifts may be required based on unit needs.
• Required Qualifications: New York State nursing license; Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; National Certification Corporation (NCC) Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) certification within one year of the first assignment; Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification; at least three years of current labor and delivery experience; and at least two years of high-risk obstetric experience, or experience with circulating, cesarean sections, and post-anesthesia care unit/recovery room responsibilities.
• Preferred Qualifications: Obstetric triage experience.
