Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Operating Room Pediatrics, Oakland. This position supports pediatric surgical services across general, cardiac, orthopedic, trauma, and other specialized procedures. The role involves working variable 10-hour day shifts in a multidisciplinary operating room environment with occasional weekend coverage.

Job Details

Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 10 hours per shift and 40 hours per week, with variable start times at 6:45 a.m. or 8:45 a.m.; Monday through Friday with occasional weekends.
Required Qualifications: California registered nurse license in hand; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; three years of experience; pediatric general operating room experience; charting system experience; Level I trauma experience; teaching hospital experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification; ambulatory operating room, cardiovascular operating room, general operating room, pediatric cardiovascular operating room, and trauma experience; previous charge experience; community hospital experience; Level II trauma experience.
Additional Information: The operating room includes 11 surgical suites and two procedural rooms. Services include neurology, orthopedic and spine surgery, otolaryngology, urology, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, dental, cardiac, general surgery, gastrointestinal, and hematology/oncology procedures. The patient population includes neonates, infants, children, and adolescents.
