Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Department nursing position: This role provides care for patients experiencing labor, inductions, cesarean births, antepartum complications, fetal demises, and triage concerns at 20 weeks gestation or greater. Responsibilities include fetal monitoring, medication titration, and care coordination in an acute-care setting.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Current labor and delivery experience of at least 2 years; required certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Fetal Monitoring, Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). An active license is required for submission.
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, scheduled 3 times per week for a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holiday coverage required, with 1 on-call shift every 2 weeks.
• Additional Information: Clinical responsibilities include caring for laboring and antepartum patients, managing inductions and cesarean births, responding to triage concerns, monitoring fetal heart patterns, and titrating Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium infusions. The role may include caring for patients experiencing fetal demise and supporting high-risk obstetric care. Orientation includes 1 day, and float rotation may be required.
