Description

Job Summary

Emergency Room position providing care for a high-volume acute care setting with approximately 250 patient visits per day. The role supports patients with cardiac conditions, sepsis, stroke, diabetic ketoacidosis, alcohol-related conditions, and other emergency presentations. The position includes 12-hour night shifts, every-other-weekend coverage, holiday rotation, and flexibility across emergency care areas.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered.
Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, generally scheduled from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.; 36 hours per week; every-other-weekend coverage required, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday considered the weekend; holiday rotation required; schedule flexibility required.
Assignment Dates: 12/07/2026 through 03/08/2027.
Additional Information: The acute care setting includes fast-track, treatment and disposition, and acute care areas. Typical patient presentations include cardiac conditions, sepsis, alcohol-related conditions, stroke, diabetic ketoacidosis, and patients requiring specialized cardiac receiving care. Patient ratios are typically 2:1 to 4:1. Emergency technicians support technical duties, and respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners are available around the clock. One day of unit orientation is provided.
