Registered Nurse, Operating Room. The role provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities include patient education, accurate medical documentation, professional communication, and participation in continuing education.
Job Details
- Schedule: Evenings; three 12-hour shifts per week with on-call responsibilities as required, totaling 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current Illinois Registered Nurse license; current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BLS) card; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Responsibilities: Assess patients mental, physical, and spiritual needs; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; provide explanations and instructions to patients or responsible persons; recognize and report changes in patient condition using clinical judgment; manage conflict through professional communication; fulfill core measure responsibilities; maintain complete and accurate medical records; and participate in continuing education.
- Additional Information: On-call responsibilities may be required. The role involves collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team and support of a healthy workplace environment.
