Description
Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery. This position provides high-risk perinatal care in a Level III maternal-care setting supporting labor, antepartum, postpartum, triage, and surgical services. The role includes night-shift coverage, weekend participation, and potential rotation to postpartum.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate fetal monitoring or Relias fetal monitoring certification; proficiency with sterile vaginal examinations, high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, antepartum care, postpartum care, fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, hemorrhage management, preeclampsia and eclampsia care, magnesium sulfate therapy, epidural anesthesia, newborn assessment, and intravenous therapy.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a setting managing 200 or more deliveries monthly; candidates with experience managing 100200 deliveries monthly may also be considered.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Provides care for neonates and adults in a high-risk perinatal setting.
- Unit services include labor and delivery, antepartum care, postpartum care, triage, operating rooms, and post-anesthesia care.
- Weekend coverage is required.
- Call coverage is not required.
- First-time travelers may be considered.
- Clinical support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
