Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Department position for a seasonal travel assignment on day shifts. The role supports care for neonates and adults in a 1:2 patient ratio and requires experience circulating for cesarean sections in the operating room. Candidates must be prepared to float between like units and meet the required clinical certifications and licensing standards.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience in labor and delivery.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and advanced Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certifications.
  • Louisiana fire card.
  • Valid California state license or compact license in hand at submission.
  • Experience circulating for cesarean sections in the operating room.
  • Required charting system experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a setting managing at least 200 deliveries per month.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Patient population includes neonates and adults.
  • Patient ratio is 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends.
  • The unit includes 10 rooms and 15 beds.
  • Orientation includes 24 hours.
  • The assignment requires work on three of five designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day.
  • All requested time off and scheduling requests must be submitted before assignment confirmation.
