Job Summary
Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor. Provides independent nursing and delegated medical functions while assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The role includes health assessment, patient education, treatment coordination, clinical documentation, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to support patient well-being.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
- Previous Registered Nurse experience
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, as appropriate for the unit or service
- Unit- or service-specific certification, as appropriate
- Schedule: Rotating shifts; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Additional Information:
- Assesses health status through ongoing collection and evaluation of health data
- Provides health teaching, health counseling, therapy, and treatment
- Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans
- Refers patients for further evaluation or treatment when needed
- Executes delegated medical functions and uses resources appropriately
- Documents care in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- May be required to float to other departments within the scope of competency and qualifications
- May be required to be on call during a regularly scheduled shift
