Job Summary

Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Oncology Floor. The position performs independent nursing and delegated medical functions, including assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, health teaching, treatment, and patient referrals. The role documents care according to regulatory guidelines and may provide support across departments within the scope of competency and qualifications.

Job Details

Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Associate of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing; current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification as appropriate for the unit or service.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor of Science in Nursing; certification appropriate for the unit or service.
Additional Information: Responsibilities include ongoing health-status assessment, nursing care planning, health counseling, supportive and restorative therapy, execution of delegated medical functions, monitoring of treatment plans, patient referrals, resource utilization, and timely documentation. The position may be required to participate in on-call coverage during a regularly scheduled shift.
