Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor position supporting adult and geriatric patients in an acute care setting. The role provides comprehensive medical-surgical care during 12-hour day shifts and requires strong clinical skills, including phlebotomy, intravenous therapy, dysrhythmia management, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management. The assignment is scheduled to begin 11/30/2026.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, including every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; compact license in hand at submission; prior travel experience; required experience with Epic charting; proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions and personal protective equipment, medical-surgical care, nasal cannula use, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, peripheral line care and management, phlebotomy, and starting and maintaining intravenous lines.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides care for adult and geriatric patient populations.
  • Patient ratios are four patients on nights and weekends.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include breast flap care, patient-controlled analgesia, blood administration, chest tubes, digital chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, and high-flow oxygen therapy.
  • Phlebotomy and venipuncture are required skills.
  • Interdisciplinary support includes intravenous therapy teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support.
  • Weekend coverage includes 12 weekend shifts during the assignment.
  • Holiday availability is required for three of five designated holidays.
