Job Summary

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Rotating position providing post-anesthesia and critical care support in an acute care setting. The role includes rotating start times, evening end times, weekday overnight and weekend call responsibilities, and collaboration in the care of patients recovering from anesthesia.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Start times rotate between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., with shifts ending at approximately 8:30 p.m.
• Required Qualifications: Active or temporary Illinois license; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; minimum of 3 years of acute care experience in a hospital setting; critical care Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience; at least one completed travel contract; successful electrocardiogram (EKG) test with a score of 80% or higher.
• Additional Information: Weeknight and weekend call rotation includes three weeknights from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and one 24-hour weekend period per six-week schedule. A 30-minute callback response time applies. Orientation consists of 4 hours. Assignment dates are 11/08/2026 through 02/07/2027.
