Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Floor. This contract position supports a medical-surgical unit for a 13-week assignment beginning 11/09/2026. The role provides care for patients undergoing procedures such as hip and knee replacements and colectomies while collaborating effectively as part of a flexible team.

Job Details

Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; rotating weekends may be required.
Assignment Dates: 11/09/202602/08/2027.
Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification and rhythm interpretation experience.
Additional Information: The 15-bed medical-surgical unit maintains a typical patient ratio of 1:5 and is staffed by registered nurses and patient care technicians. Common procedures include hip and knee replacements and colectomies. Alaris pumps and the Meditech electronic medical record system are utilized. Navy scrubs are required, and candidates should demonstrate flexibility and strong teamwork.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
