Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room. The Registered Nurse provides perioperative care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a high-volume surgical setting. The role requires day-shift coverage, clinical expertise across diverse surgical procedures, and flexibility to float between designated operating room units.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certifications; two years of experience; previous travel nursing experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic charting systems, including Epic.
- Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Call is required for 45 shifts per six-week period, including weekends. The role supports approximately 30 patients daily across 13 operating rooms and includes care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Clinical responsibilities may include general, orthopedic, neurological, otolaryngologic, urologic, gynecologic, ophthalmologic, gastrointestinal, vascular, and robotic surgical procedures. Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
