Job Summary

Medical Surgical With Telemetry position responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, medication administration, care coordination, patient education, and emergency response. The position supports patients throughout hospitalization and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams to promote safe, individualized care.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); Michigan state licensure; two years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required.
• Schedule: Night shift consisting of 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include monitoring patient condition trends, administering and documenting prescribed medications, managing wound care and specialized equipment, developing individualized care plans, educating patients and families on post-surgery and post-discharge instructions, and recognizing and responding to signs of medical deterioration.
