Description
Job Summary
Nashville, TN Medical Surgical Floor position providing care to adult medical-surgical patients in a 25-bed unit. The role requires strong assessment skills, proficiency with intravenous pumps and medication dispensing cabinets, and the ability to perform intravenous and Foley catheter placement. Night-shift scheduling includes 12-hour shifts and every-other-weekend coverage.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Strong assessment skills; experience with intravenous pumps and medication dispensing cabinets; proficiency in intravenous and Foley catheter placement.
- Preferred Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certifications.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; every other weekend required, with flexible weekday scheduling.
- Additional Information: Patient ratios are approximately 6:1 on nights. Unit equipment includes Sara Steady devices, wound vacuums, telehealth equipment, virtual sitter equipment, and remote telemetry. Required scrubs are black or royal blue. Patient experience expectations include bedside shift report and hourly rounding.
